Dr. Sarah Cobey discusses COVID-19 Modeling on WGN Morning News

Dr. Sarah Cobey, a member of the New York Influenza Center of Excellence (NYICE), made an appearance on Chicago’s WGN Morning News to discuss how models are being used to track the COVID-19 outbreak. Dr. Cobey works in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Chicago, where she and her group frequently use computational and mathematical tools to explore host immunity and immune response to different pathogens. In her Morning News appearance, Dr. Cobey discussed the availability and reliability of COVID-19 data being used in prediction modeling, and how this outbreak differs from seasonal influenza outbreaks.
